Karen and Kevin Jones of Warner Fences Auckland North worked with the New Zealand Fire Service during their redevelopment at a new site in Takapuna. The new station required a 7 metre galvansied steel sliding gate and 62 metres of boundary fencing at 1.8 metres high. Throughout the project Warner's had regular meetings with the NZ Fire Service, Amstar Construction Ltd and the various other contractors involved.
This constant communication ensured everyone was well away of how the project was progressing and that it was completed on time. One challenge this job presented was the sliding gate, the length and weight of the gate meant powder coating had to be outsourced and the transport of the gate was not as straightforward as a standard gate. However, Karen and Kevin successfully navigated these challenges to deliver what was required.
The New Zealand Fire Service also specified particular access and automation components for the gate to best suit their requirements which Warner's were happy to source. As the job progressed Karen and Kevin also sourced a strobe light and designed panels to fill narrow spaces between buildings. Excellent service and organisation resulted in a finished project that looks stunning while meeting the specific needs of the fire service.
