Tarawera High School in Kawerau, Bay of Plenty contacted Kevin Gardyne from Warner Fences about fencing and gates for their premises. The school was after some simple yet stylish boundary fencing as well as some wheelchair accessible pedestrian gates. The Regency III profile at 1800mm high was chosen with 75mm square posts. The ground on which the fencing and gates were to be installed was very rocky and proved difficult to dig. There were also lots of old pipes and wires underground and very records of these services as many other buildings around the site had been demolished.
These challenges were successfully navigated by the team at Warner through constant communication with the school and excellent project management. The fencing was installed during school hours and various safety measures were put in place to ensure students, staff and contractors remained safe at all times. This included all concrete cutting being completed after school hours and during the weekends. The finished project meets the needs of the school while looking great and creating a positive impression.
